’24’ Done On TV, Feature Film In The Works – News

24 is one of those shows that exploded with an incredibly diligent fan base from the get go. This was Fox’s ‘Lost’. Unfortunately with episode costs rising and ratings falling it seems a no brainer for cancellation. It’s being reported that costs for the show began to exceed $5 million for licensing fees per episode paid by Fox to 20th TV. This isn’t a true cancellation though, the writing talent behind the show openly talk about their inability to come up with exciting new story-lines that would fit within the realtime structure of the show. It’s almost as if everyone is calling it quits. Everyone except producer Howard Gordon, who says that a feature film is being developed among many other possible ways to keep the 24 universe alive.
