Ben Affleck’s second outing as director, although the advertising tries to hide that fact, centers on a group of thieves knocking off banks in Boston. This taunt trailer looks like a cross between ‘Point Break’ and ‘Heat’ with a little ‘Departed’ thrown in for good measure. Whatever maybe the case, Affleck has proven himself an interesting talent behind the camera and after a long screen absence its nice to have him back minus the off screen baggage. This could be fall’s sleeper hit.
After Affleck’s ‘Gone Baby Gone’ he’s got me, this movie looks incredible; and if it is even as close to perfection as ‘Gone Baby Gone’ then I am for sure in the Affleck as director boat. This trailer is fantastic and brings both drama and action to the table, can’t wait for this flick!
