He won Grammys and an Academy Award; wrote many #1 songs from Barbra Streisand’s “Evergreen” to the Carpenter’s “We’ve Only Just Begun” as well as Kermit the Frog’s biggest hit, “The Rainbow Connection”; starred in a Brian DePalma movie; put out his own hit records and albums; was a guest on The Tonight Show fifty times; and is the president of ASCAP… and you might not have heard of him. In the 1970′s, Paul Williams was the singer / actor / songwriter that emotional, alienated teenage boys all over the world wanted to be, a sex symbol before MTV, when sex symbols could be 5″2 and sing songs about loneliness with the Muppets. One of those boys was Steve Kessler, a chubby kid from Queens. Thirty years later, Kessler discovered something amazing: Paul Williams didn’t die. And no one had ever tried to make a documentary about him. A wistful musical journey that will re-introduce a new generation to Williams’ soulful classics, Paul Williams: Still Alive is the charmingly self-narrated story of Stephen Kessler’s lifelong obsession with the former superstar-and what happens when the nostalgic filmmaker finally catches up with him.

God Save My Shoes is the first documentary to explore the intimate relationship that ties women to their shoes. To understand why shoes are the most addictive and seductive fashion accessory, God Save my Shoes journeyed into women’s psyches and closets, examining the psychological, sociocultural, and erotic significance of shoes.
The quest to decipher why shoes trigger such passion among most women (and quite a few men) took the production to New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Toronto, Milan, and Florence to interview all those who play a role in the global shoe phenomenon: extreme shoe-lovers and everyday women, fashion historians and editors, psychologists, sex experts, as well as shoe fetishists…
Witty, glamorous, insightful and sassy, this film brings an offbeat and captivating answer to the universal relationship between women and their shoes.

For four gorgeous young women from a remote Aboriginal mission, 1968 was the year that changed their lives forever. Sisters Gail, Julie and Cynthia, together with their cousin Kay, are discovered by Dave, a down-on-his-luck Irish musician with attitude, a taste for Irish Whiskey and an ear for Soul Music. Dave steers the girls away from their Country & Western origins then flies them to the war-zones of South Vietnam, where they sing Soul Classics for the American Marines.
