Germans, Russians and Chinese, these were the nationalities to look out for in the late eighties and early nineties. I imagine Die Hard 4 would be a very different film had 9/11 never happened. Although its plot has nothing new.

The American hero is driving a German car (Mercedes) and the German bad guys are driving an American truck (Dodge). What a subtle statement on the profound effect of foreign vs domestic car manufacturing…or just some strange shit. You make the call.

I love that all manner of weather is present through out the picture from deadly heat to rainstorms all we are missing is an ice over.

Now back to the show… I half expected that wall of water to transform into the horsemen ala Lord of the Rings.
