Sherlock Holmes (2009) – Review
January 30, 2010 in Action, Reviews

2 Stars
Robert Downey Jr. plays Holmes with Jude Law along as Watson. Their interplay is the only reason to see this over-long, over produced, frantic film. It seems the filmmakers were striving for a –National Treasure- type adventure picture. Instead they wound-up with something in the vein of –Wild Wild West. The cinematic style and attitudes of the characters are far too modern for this material. Downey, as always, is extremely good.
Director: Guy Ritchie
