Van Damme Says Filming of Universal Soldier 4 Complete – Promises Action Scenes Like Never Before

Jean-Claude Van Damme announced today, via his Facebook page, that filming had been completed for the fourth installment of Universal Soldier. He also promised that we “are going to see some action scenes unlike anything that has been on the screen before!”. Let’s hope it will live up to that hype!

This is the second Universal Soldier movie to be directed by John Hyams, son of Time Cop director Peter Hyams, re-teaming with actors JCVD and Dolph Lundgren. Scott Adkins, JCVD’s co-star from Weapon, rounds out the cast.

It was shot in 3D, but most people will only get to see it in 2D unless they have a 3D TV and Blu-ray player or if there is an anaglyphic (red/blue glasses) DVD release. He goes on to say that he’ll be updating us soon on some new films he’s going into production on this year. Will one of those be Expendables 2? Here’s the post:

Hello!
We finished filming Universal Soldier 4 in Baton Rouge! The shoot of UniSol 4 was amazing! For those who don’t know yet, the film is in 3D. You are going to see some action scenes unlike anything that has been on the screen before! I have several more films coming up for production this year, which I will tell you about in due course.
