I’m still not sold on another Riddick flick, but I’ll probably wind up seeing it regardless. Vin Diesel posted this up on his Facebook page so he must be proud of the costuming, but let’s be honest, it looks riddick-ulous (funny? no?). The armor looks like some He-man plastic toy armor I had back in the day. While I loved Pitch Black, the second in the franchise, Chronicles of Riddick, was the iceberg that sank the ship. David Twohy had envisioned this as a trilogy. Luckily for director Twohy, Vin Diesel had another very profitable franchise with Universal, Fast and Furious, so they kinda owed him one. Plus Universal loves to make sci-fi flicks that tank. The one thing I am looking forward to in this installment – Katee Sackhoff. Check out Diesel below in all his Richard B. Riddick glory and let us know what you think.
What are you talking about? Yeah Pitch Black was good but Chronicles of Riddick kicked butt! Not being sarcastic here either. We need to see him take over the necromongers spaceship fleet.
Jon, it’s good that you are passionate about the series; I expect you’ll be able to enjoy the new film more than the casual fan. However, I’ve got to agree with Trevor on Chronicles of Riddick. I thought the film sucked big time and ruined any chance of building on a character that had great potential.
Ok if he takes over the spaceship fleet I might be back in. I’d really like to see this turn into a kind of a King Conan in space, that would be awesome.
I busted out laughing when I saw the picture. The look on his face is reminiscent of Ralphie’s from A Christmas Story, when he had on the pink bunny costume.
Haha, Joe. Ya his tough guy pose definitely fails here.
