Mission of Justice (1992) – Review

Where to watch Mission of Justice

3 Stars

Jeff Wincott is the most underrated action star of the 1990s. His solid acting ability and hardbody physique make him the most accomplished of all the direct-to-video heroes of the era. Mission of Justice is a great vehicle to showcase the acting talent of Wincott and his physical prowess.

Kurt Harris (Wincott) is a bitter, former policeman who infiltrates a neo-fascist group after his friend is killed by their leader (Brigette Nielsen). While there, he discovers that the leader wants to run for mayor and will do anything to achieve her goal. The public isn’t aware that the local Community Center dubbed the “mission of justice” is a criminal enterprise and not an upstanding place for youth to loiter.

The production values are higher than most at this level of budget filmmaking and the slick photography gives the movie a visual quality that makes you feel like you’re watching a studio release. The film’s main asset is Jeff Wincott. This powerhouse of a screen presence dominates the movie, while the 15 minute action centerpiece is alone worth the price of admission. Mission of Justice is an excellent showcase for it’s star and one of the best DTV action filcks of 1992.
