Blood for Blood a.k.a. Midnight Man (1995) – Review

Where to watch Blood for Blood a.k.a. Midnight Man

3 Stars

When the police start a crackdown on Yakuza activities, a killer (James Lew) starts killing the cops forcing a martial-arts officer (Lorenzo Lamas) to fight back.

Lorenzo Lamas’ 1990’s career reinvention hits its apex in Blood for Blood. This mystical, martial arts, police procedural was produced by Moshe Diamant. The man behind some of Van Damme’s most enjoyable flicks. This time Diamant receives a story by credit and is the person most directly responsible for the utterly overstuffed plot. However, the slick action scenes and fantastical story elements make this a charming little time waster.
