Snakes On a Plane (2006) – Review
September 19, 2010 in Horror, Reviews

2 1/2 Stars
The infamous film that became a internet sensation before its release, is nothing more than a high concept. A laughable script and (intentionally?) bad acting make this an ok midnight movie. Samuel Jackson is a federal agent transporting an eyewitness to testify against a mob boss. His mode of transportation…a plane. Apparently this mob boss has people from the airline on his payroll, they load the plane’s cargo bay full of poisonous snakes. Shortly after all sorts of CGI Hell breaks loose. Jackson has some fun with the role and at times the film is high camp, but after 40 minutes the picture and screenplay run out of steam. From that point on it becomes a slow crawl to the obvious resolution. A straight-up B-movie in every aspect.
