  1. I admire the balls you have for putting on your top ten list a few titles that other bloggers and critics would add to their worst of list in 2012. Savages had potential, but the ending was just laughable. The Dictator had it’s moments and that monolouge at the end is classic, but the whole narritive aspect was a failure in my opinion. I was surprised Men in Black 3 didn’t go on your bait and switch list because at first you think the story is going to be just about Agent K(Tommy Lee Jones) but at the last second it seems to switch over to Agent J (Will Smith) without any real explenation. Sorry about any misspells

    1. Vern,

Great point with the MIB 3 stuff… I will say that Jason had said previously that the ending to Savages was a tad off putting – not sure if he mentioned it on the air or not when he did his review, and really The Dictator we had no expectations for it being even a tiny bit decent, so when it had an actual story and the jokes were well thought out rather than just a naked gay guy running amok it was surprising. I for one enjoyed it, even though I still have my complaints – and that goes for most things in my top 10 this year, which while enjoyable, most had a crap ton of issues when it came to storytelling with aspects that made zero sense. Maybe the next generation of filmmakers will make films that won’t make the audience say “what?” at times.
